Cleaning Your Yard And Garden 22 August 2014
Cleaning Your Yard And Garden

It’s not just your home that needs a thorough and proper clean every once in a while – your yard and garden can benefit from a good and regular clean too! If you want to work towards having a cleaner garden then simply have a look at the following tips and tricks to get you off to a great start! 1)    Make sure to have the right equipment. Before you begin your garden or yard clean you should start by ensuring that you have the right equipment for the job. To clean your yard and garden you’re going to need a broom, a stiff-bristled brush, a bucket, a hose and an antibacterial cleaning product. It’s also a good idea to keep a pair of gardening gloves and a pair of garden scissors to hand as well! 2)    Start by removing weeds.Getting rid of the weeds in your garden can be a tedious job, but it’s necessary if you want to keep a cleaner and tidier garden! Start with your patio and remove any weeds growing in-between your flagstones using the gardening gloves and scissors. As you work, move on to your lawn and flowerbeds, removing any unsightly weeds as you work. If you want to prevent weeds from growing back then try using a weed-killer and preventative spray in the areas where you’re finding the most weeds. Be careful not to get this spray anywhere else though as it can kill other plants! Once you’ve finished weeding simply collect together your cut weeds and get rid of them in your green recycling bin. 3)    Brushing your patio. Now that your patio is looking tidier it’s time to give it a good clean. Mix together your cleaning agent and warm water into your bucket and get your broom or stiff-bristled brush. Soak the brush in the mix and buff at all of the flagstones in your garden to remove dirt and grime. This is a difficult job that can require a lot of elbow grease, so you might prefer to use a jet spray if you have one! If this job proves to be too long or arduous for you then you can hire professional cleaning help to get it done for you. This is much easier than doing it yourself, but be aware that it can sometimes be quite pricey! Once you’ve lifted as much dirt as possible use warm water to rinse away any grime and muck that’s left over. You can also use a hosepipe to do this. 4)    Mowing your lawn. Now that your patio or yard area is looking better it’s time to move onto your lawn. Mowing your lawn regularly will ensure that your garden looks clean and tidy all of the time! Invest in a good lawnmower for your needs and try to break it out as much as possible over the summer months! 5)    Clearing up clutter.Keep your garden and yard free from clutter by purchasing an outside storage box. These large boxes are ideal for storing anything from garden furniture to children’s toys, so if you want to save yourself a little effort and keep your garden in shape then purchase one of these and make sure that everything is returned to its plastic home at the end of every day! This can make a huge difference to the appearance of your garden, even if you don’t think that it will!
